Anna was brought into a shelter in Tuscaloosa, Alabama after being hit by a car. A motorist found her lying in the street. Surgery saved her life and repaired her fractured pelvis. The vet who saved her says the worst that will happen is that Anna will suffer from a limp for the rest of her days, though Anna's emotional scars may take a little longer to heal. I wonder how anyone could treat a dog so terribly. Anna has also been struggling with heartworms, which has further complicated her little life. But she is a fighter and a lover. A fellow rescuer from Alabama was having trouble finding a home for Anna and quite a few other Cockers, so she contacted me. I posted her on the website, and the response was amazing. There are so many goodhearted people out there. Anna has a home at last. It is important to realize how much Anna has endured and how noble and precious she is, in spite of it all. She has not stopped wagging her little tail and giving kisses. She is just incredible and should be an example to all of us. She has forgiven people for their cruelty and neglect and wants nothing more than to love and please anyone who will give her a chance. Happily, she is going to have that chance. |
