A special lady took pity on Annie when she found her on the street in Charlotte, North Carolina in deplorable shape. She did amazing things for this adorable dog, who was sick heartworm and serious eye and ear problems.  Her rescuer secured a loan to have surgeries and treatment because she cared so much for Annie and because she had faith that someone would come to love her and open his/her home to her.

It is a good thing that Annie's rescuer didn't lose hope, even in the face of other rescuers telling her they would not help, telling her that Annie was "not worth saving." She was supposedly too old (she is seven, perhaps) and too unwell to bother with.

Annie has proven them wrong, and she is living happily ever after. Many so-called rescuers could learn a great deal from this little girl and her inspiring story.
