Bailey is so adorable and precious, she took my breath away when I first met her. She is a tiny female American Cocker Spaniel -- so small, she looks like a puppy. Bailey was abandoned at a Maryland shelter with her best friend, Jewel, (who has been adopted into another home) because their family could not take care of them. It was very sad to see them so depressed at first, but they blossomed in foster care.

It took some doing -- a bit of placing and replacing, actually -- but this sweetheart has finally found her forever home. Please read some of what her adoptive mother had to say about her.

I am totally IN LOVE WITH HER! She and Buckeye are doing okay. You see them cleaning each other's faces and giving kisses, and they love to run around in the back yard playing chase. I gated her in the kitchen the first three days, and each day it was torn down (I think by Buckeye), and they were in the bedroom in bed!

She has met Daisy (my horse), and it is so funny, this little Cocker barking and acting like she's going to eat this horse up, and Daisy just staring down at her like she's nuts! She goes to the barn with Buckeye and me each night, and she loves it. She sleeps in bed, of course, and she has to have the pillow right next to my head and will not give it up, so I just bend myself around her and Buckeye.

She sits on my lap when I work on the computer, and now she stands on her hind legs and waves her little paws that mean "pick me up, and carry me!" Of course, I oblige her. Each night, she and Buckeye race to the recliner to see who gets there first and the best spot. I get what's left over.

Camping with her should be lots of fun. We try to walk the golf course each night. It's about a two mile walk -- which they both love -- and she never tires out. I took her to my vet on Monday, and he kept saying he can't believe how attached she is to me; she took a flying leap and landed in my lap when they brought her back into the room!

I just want to thank you guys for considering me for adoption and letting me have Bailey.
