Ben was given up by owners because they said he was not doing well with
their toddler. Before this, we were told that they wanted to give him
up because he missed their former Cocker, whom they turned over to us
last year because they said that he wasn't good with the toddler
either.
Go figure.
I'm at a total loss when it comes to some situations,
and this one had me baffled for a long time. I guess there are some
things I don't have to understand. Just like his buddy, Charlie,
Ben now has a wonderful forever home. I'll let his new mother tell the
rest of his story. This is an extremely gratifying letter about what
Ben has brought into her life.

I just want to drop everyone a note to say thank you for bringing the
most special friend into my life, Ben. Ben and I were united on Sunday
June 17, 2001, and in only a few short days, my life has been changed
forever.
Ben is the sweetest dog in the world and has reminded me how to
love again. He made me find my "smile" that had been missing
since the death of my 12 -year-old deaf Cocker Spaniel, Kirby. I want
to personally thank everyone!
I will be recommending CSAC to all of my friends who are interested
in adopting an animal. This is a wonderful organization, and these
dogs are lucky to be part of this placement, but the new owners are
the luckiest of all, as they get a new forever friend.
Thank you to everyone who has enriched my life so much in a such a
short period of time!
P.S. Ben Update:
Ben was given the "spa" treatment yesterday. For $74.00
he received the oatmeal scrub for his skin, his hair was washed, cut,
and his teeth were brushed. He looks very handsome! He also lost about
5 pounds when all the hair was cut off of him!
He loves his ball to play ball and has slept in bed with me since
the first night. He has adjusted extremely well and has not missed a
beat! He is great around other people and other dogs. He is perfect!
Thank you again to everyone who was involved in this process, and
please do not hesitate to check in on Ben. If Charlie, his long lost
brother, ever comes back up for adoption, please let me know. I would
be more than happy to reunite these two wonderful Cockers!
Thanks for everything!
