Brandy is a very special girl, who went through quite an ordeal and came dangerously close to dying before she found a loving home. She was clearly someone's pet at some point. Her missing eye was surgically closed, and she was spayed when she came to the shelter. I cannot understand how or why she was given up. Sadly, no one wanted to adopt her from the shelter because of her eye, and she ran out of time there. In a last ditch effort to save her, they called me.

Many people went quickly to bat for Brandy. It was a real conga line -- from the shelter contact who pulled her and transported her, to a fellow rescuer who traveled to get her and brought her to me, to her special foster mother. Brandy won the hearts of everyone who met her with her gentle goodness. She is beautiful and very special, and I like to think of her as winking at life and the people around her. We should all handle ourselves so gracefully.

Brandy will now live happily ever after with the daughter of her foster mother, so everyone will stay in touch. I could not be happier for all involved.
