Revised November 6, 1999 It is hard to believe that a dog as adorable as Brandy was found wandering the streets. Some concerned people picked her up and made every attempt to find her owners, but to no avail. Since they could not keep her, they contacted us. A very special man took Brandy into his home and heart. He has helped our cause and our dogs numerous times in all kinds of ways. He adopted sweet Sheila from us, and he adopted precious Queenie, too. Sadly, after a very short time in his care, Queenie passed to Rainbow Bridge. Shelia recently followed her. Now Brandy is part of his family, a family that includes other fortunate rescued dogs. One is even a little sato (stray) from Puerto Rico, where domestic animals are treated more like garbage than living beings. The conditions there for dogs and cats are about the most horrendous that any animal faces. Please visit their home page for more information, if you would like to help a suffering sato. You would be making an enormous contribution if you did. I have yet to figure out how to thank Brandy's new father for all his goodness. She is one lucky girl today, and she deserves nothing less than the unconditional love she so willingly gives herself. She is very special, indeed. |
