Brandy is a very pretty red female American Cocker Spaniel. She was found wandering around a car lot in Baltimore, very scared and shaken. She was brought to a Baltimore shelter. As time ran out, and no owner came forward, the shelter called us. We had been waiting for a dog like Brandy. Females tend to move quickly, even if they are a little older. Brandy was a chubby girl, but that didn't matter to her new Dad. He went to see her, still grieving the loss of his former Cocker to cancer. She licked his hand and nuzzled up to him, and he knew he had to take her home.

Brandy and her Dad are devoted companions. She has brought joy to his life and eased his loneliness, making her own place in his heart--and his bed! He reports that she has to sleep under the covers. He said: "I don't know how she breathes sometimes, but that is where she likes to be." Brandy is one lucky lady today.
