Jewel is so adorable and precious, she took my breath away when I first met her. It's hard to believe, but Jewel was abandoned at a Maryland shelter, along with her best friend, Bailey, because their family could not take care of them. It was very sad to see them so depressed at first, but they blossomed in foster care.

We tried a placement with the two together, but sadly, it did not work out for Bailey. She is still looking for a home. Jewel, however, is living happily ever after.
