Updated November 25, 2001 I couldn't help feeling sorry for Roman, formerly called Romeo because he was found wandering with his Juliet, now named Angelica and happily placed in a loving home of her own. He was a mess -- filthy and matted and obviously neglected. He also had an unrequited love for Juliet/Angelica, I daresay. It was not difficult to separate them, and it was clearly for the best since both were intact when they came to us. Roman cleaned up beautifully. He is a gorgeous dark red Cocker; his picture does not do him justice. He is sleek and strong and incredibly agile. He was called "the macho Cocker" at the first adoption show he attended. Roman was a major hit. Although Roman's first placement did not last, we were able to find him a new home with people who were willing to work with him and all his quirks. His new name is Barkley and he is living the life of luxury. He has a cat who he hasn't quite figured out and doting parents who have taken him through basic obedience and are working on getting him through advanced basic obedience. He has brought much joy and laughter into their lives and he can not believe how lucky he was to find parents who love him so much. |
